REGISTRAR :

Welcome to the YWAM Muizenberg Registrar information page. Here you will find up-to-date information on our current student registration process, protocols and expectations.

As a Training Department we believe wholeheartedly that discipleship starts at the first point of contact. It our prerogative as School Leaders and Training Staff to continue to develop our communications skills (see YWAM Value #18) and to honor potential students with quick and accurate information. This entire website seeks to flatten power dynamics and give easy access to information to everyone. May we use that information and the platforms we have been given to release more and more young people to the nations!

CURRENT REGISTRAR PROCESS AND PROCEDURE

  • NOTE THAT WE HAVE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED OUR NEW REGISTRATION SYSTEM AT YWAM MUIZ. Please connect with Sanel Stonemant to be granted access and to have a training session on current protocols and usage.

  • We ask that all applications be accepted or denied WITHIN 48 HOURS of completion unless the student's application requires further investigation. (If you require more than 48 hours to process the application you MUST email the student and inform them the process is ongoing.)

WHEN ACCEPTING A STUDENT -

  • Send an acceptance e-mail (We encourage you to draft a personal acceptance letter to use for your school)

  • Attach the official "Student Acceptance Letter" (See below)

  • Attach the official "YWAM Muizenberg Acceptance Packet" (See below)

  • For students coming on 90 day tourist visas edit and attach the Student Confirmation Letter (See below)

  • For all students under 18yrs old at the start date of your school, attach the Parental Consent Form & Guardianship Letter (See below)

  • Immediately add the students information to the "Quarterly Student Information Roster" in Google Drive. (E-mail training@ywammuizenberg.org if you don't have access to your quarter's roster)

Once students are accepted to your school we highly encourage you to assign them to one of you  staff for regular communication and connection. Monthly e-mails and several Skype or phone calls between acceptance and arrival day will go a long way in helping to foster a sense of belonging & community and will also help you retain students in the long months running up to your school. We would also suggest creating a School Facebook Page or a WhatsApp Group and adding students to build a hub for connection. Here you can introduce yourselves, students and staff, and share prayer requests & other useful information.

  • Finally we encourage you to send out a few mass emails to your entire student roster. The first around two months before arrival day with an encouraging word, "how to" payment information for lecture fees and a request for flight information. The second around three weeks before arrival day as one last push for lecture fees and information.
