The Staff Development Track for new incoming, or present staff…

Our Staff Development Track provides an opportunity for further character development, growth in leadership skills, and for a deeper understanding of God’s heart for mankind. A few of our long term staff who are passionate about member care will walk alongside you and help you discover your purpose and calling. The goal is to empower and equip you to join into our community with a level of care and stewardship, with a posture of a learner. This Track includes seven weeks of traveling through the Cape Town area to learn about its context and history, as well as facilitated discussions in the classroom. There is so much more that could be said, but for now- we are grateful for your interest in joining our YWAM Muizenberg staff and look in forward to getting to journey with you!

  • Topics Covered: Orientation & Narratives from South Africa, YWAM Muizenberg Narratives & Distinctives, Community, Power Dynamics and Authority, Finances, Mental Health & Self Care, Trust & Insecure Leadership

  • Beyond the facilitated classroom teachings and discussions, one of our main goals is through the Track to integrate our staff into our community by connecting you with a One on One for the course of the Track (if you do not previously have one), providing a StrengthsFinder coaching session, helping you to develop a Self Care and Personal Development Plan, introducing you to the heartbeat of our Base through serving with Campus Life and Impact Ministries, and having our schedule formed around our Base Rhythms so that you can join in with a Circle, Base Worship, Prayer Meetings and other community life.
