- YWAM Muizenberg Campus Vehicle Policies -

PURPOSE:

Schools, ministries and campus services. No private use of any vehicles.

DRIVERS: 

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must have successfully done a YWAM Driver’s Test.

Must be the required age that the Insurance requires.

Must accept financial responsibility for minor damages they might have caused to the vehicle.

Must be familiar with driving the car.

Must sign an Indemnity form, indemnifying YWAM against any claims whatsoever whilst driving a YWAM vehicle.

Must commit himself/herself to be responsible for all repairs due to negligent driving.

GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES:

AA rates will apply per km. R3.60 per km plus petro (Toyota Avanza)

Vehicles must be parked in the locked designated areas after the end of each trip.

Petrol must be topped up by the driver after each use.

If ministries have not paid their bills after two months, there will be a loss of the privilege until the payment is made in full.

The car has a maximum limit of 7 passengers.  (Toyota Avanza)

Please ensure that the vehicle is correctly parked and locked at all times during use.

Traffic laws and regulations must at all times be strictly complied with.

Should the slightest defect to the steering or brakes of the vehicle or any other defect be detected at any time that could affect the roadworthiness of the vehicle, the vehicle will be taken off the road until it has been checked and repaired. IN CASE OF TRAFFIC FINES:

The driver is responsible to have any fines paid in full.

IN CASE OF MINOR DAMAGE TO VEHICLE CAUSED BY THE DRIVER:

The driver is to take full responsibility for the cost of the damage.

IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT:

The Base is to cover costs of major accidents.

IN THE CASE OF LOSS OF KEY:

The driver is responsible for the replacement cost of the key.

Car keys are kept in the Post Box in the office under Vehicles Lou.
