We are a multicultural community that exists to embrace, equip and launch all people into all nations in order to reveal Jesus Christ! At the very heart of our mission and vision are the nations of the world, as well as pioneering new ministries, places and things for the glory of God!

Circles, circuits and cycles

In 2010, after YWAM’s 50th celebrations, the Lord spoke to Loren and Darlene Cunningham about the three C’s. This principle of leadership is found in the story of creation right through to the Gospels.

Circles of relationship

Since before creation the Godhead existed in a perfect circle of relationship between Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mankind was then created to join this circle of relationship. InMark’s Gospel we see two purposes for which Jesus calls individuals into a circle of relationship with Him:

Intimacy, coming and being with Him and one another.

Impact, going and doing for Him with one another.

Cycles of time

In creation, God set up cycles of time, day, night, winter, spring, summer and autumn. We adopt this rhythm in evangelism, from salvation, to training and equipping, to sending, and back to evangelism.

Complete cycles of time are also seen in our school curriculums, group meetings, weekly, monthly and yearly calendars of events. These cycles of time help to entrench the two purposes of the circles, that is to develop intimacy and to impact.

Circuits of geography

In the creation story we find that God created the land, plant life, seasons, animals and human life. “The land produced vegetation ... And God saw that it was good.” (Genesis 1:12)

Jesus understood the correlation betweengeography and the fruitful extension of God’sKingdom. Shortly after He launched His earthly campaign in Capernaum. Jesus said toHis disciples, “Let us go somewhere else – to the nearby villages – so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” (Mark 1:38)

That is why Jesus calls His disciples to “Youwill receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria,and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

We are also called to travel to other geographical areas to preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God.
