Unsolicited advice - this is how I’d source things for the house :
• Start at Big Boy Crockery (Landowne) - only recently heard of this but this would be a great place to get basics for the kitchen https://www.instagram.com/reel/DQCXaOhDSp2/?igsh=cXBhc2NpNGV5bDZp
• Then I’d go to Access Park as its just around the corner from Big Boy Crockery to Whitehouse (we get all our linens + bedding from there - they also have great wicker baskets) and Mambos (have gotten even better home goods / organizing options)
• Then go to the Coricraft & @home Clearance Centre (Montague Gardens) for furniture worth investing in (like couches and dining room chairs)
• Pep has gotten even better with their plate & glassware - definitely pick up wine glasses, etc. there - and glass tupperware, etc. - theres a new decent sized location at BlueRoute on by where the electronic store / banks were
• Checkers Hyper also has a great kitchen section - the one at BlueRoute has expanded (theres a Kauai in there now !)
and for appliances - we’ve started buying from Wakefords (in Fish Hoek) - they deliver, install & help us easily get repairs done under warranty so its been super ideal after doing second hand items for so long that only last for a year or two - so if you can afford to invest upfront, it will save money & headache in the long run :) and living in Muiz - definitely get at least a 5L dehumidifier - that has been a life changing appliance 😅
